Managing this required an advanced on-prem Wireless Controller to oversee 110 Access Points across 3 campuses.The hospital needed consistent and dependable internet access to ensure corporate staff and healthcare professionals could function without interruption, while still providing connectivity for patients and visitors.like many modern healthcare institutions, the need for secure medical device communication was vital. A dedicated SSID was implemented for Medical IoT Devices to allow intranet access without any internet exposure. • Bandwidth allocation was also a priority. Visitor internet access was capped at 15 Mbps, ensuring fair usage while preserving optimal bandwidth for critical hospital operations

Solution

adopted a dual SSID setup to ensure smooth network operations, providing secure access for corporate users and controlled internet for guests through open or self-registration options. To support critical healthcare infrastructure, a separate SSID was configured for Medical IoT devices. These devices operated on a VLAN-segmented intranet to ensure secure and isolated communication.With strict guest access policies in place, visitor internet sessions were bandwidth-capped at 15 Mbps, preserving performance for essential medical applications
